Casey Bill Weldon (born circa 1901, possibly in Pine Bluff, Arkansas; death date unknown) was a prominent figure in the pre-war Chicago blues scene, uniquely notable for his mastery of the Hawaiian steel guitar. Playing the instrument flat on his lap with a slide, Weldon coaxed a weeping, fluid tone that stood out sharply from the standard acoustic blues guitar styles of his contemporaries. Billed as "The Hawaiian Guitar Wizard," he was a prolific session musician for Bluebird and Vocalion during the 1930s.
